XOTHERMIC INC. developed an oxygen burner configuration that produces a wide, thin flame, referred to as a "Fish Tail" burner. This flame configuration allows for maximum heat release in a confined area. The burner also has the ability to angle the flame down as much as fifteen degrees with the use of the secondary balancing valve. Natural gas is the primary fuel, however propane can be used without changing any equipment. Simply adjusting the primary balancing valve will compensate for the lower gas volume associated with propane. This burner has applications in the Ferrous, non-Ferrous and Ceramic Industries.
